1973 850 Spider

1973 Fiat 850 Spider, body by Bertone. Currently licensed and runs great, fuel tank was just cleaned and resealed. Complete restoration just finished in the original color using top of the line products and almost all new rubber. Trunk, engine compartment, doors and jams are all freshly painted and detailed as good as the outside of the car. Door hinges are rebuilt, windshield glass is new. Car is mechanically sound and operates perfectly. Body was completely disassembled with all doors and trunk lids (there are two) and the engine lid and rear body panel off to a rolling shell during restoration, pictures upon request. This car has been done right every step of the way. Restoration cost to date is $16,564.88 Top frame is completely restored with new black vinyl top material and all new rubber installed. New tires. Excellent interior with reupholstered seats are installed from another car (awaiting restoration), but you will get a new black vinyl seat upholstery kit that can be installed on the car's seat frames (excellent condition except for the upholstery), unless you want these. Completion of the reupholstered original seats can be done for an extra fee. 1972 rear bumper and license plate lamps installed by the previous owner. Paperwork is current and in my name. Was shown at Concourso Italiano August 2008, was invited to the central display gala on Thursday night. Was just shown at the Alameda Italian Car & Motorcycle Show, and was entered into the annual Fiat America "Fiat of the Year" competition (winner to be announced in January at the annual banquet). About as close as you can get to a new Fiat 850 Spider, at a fraction of what my normal restoration clients pay, but there is still room for improvement if you insist on it being perfect. An impressive car that will have others stopping you or following you just to ask questions! I know, I can't drive it anyplace without having at least one person stop me!
